Send it from your phone. Collect it at the counter.

Scan the code on a GotPrinter outlet's poster, pick your pages, and the document goes to their printer. Nothing to install to print, nothing to email the outlet, no USB stick.

How a print works

  1. Open the outlet's page

Scan the QR code on the counter, or find the nearest outlet on the map. It opens in your phone's browser.

  2. Choose what to print

Add PDFs or photos, then set pages, colour, copies and two-sided. The price is the outlet's own, and you see it before you send.

  3. Collect it

Your phone shows when your order is printing, along with your pickup token. Give the token at the counter and take your pages.

What happens to your file

Documents people print are often private: exam forms, bank letters, ID copies. This is exactly where yours goes, including the parts that aren't perfect.

It goes to the outlet directly when it can.
Your phone connects straight to the outlet's computer. If the network won't allow that within about 25 seconds, the file travels through our relay instead, encrypted with a key only your phone and the outlet's computer hold. We can't read it. The page tells you which way it went.
If it can't be encrypted, it isn't sent.
The page tells you so. It is never sent through our relay unencrypted.
The outlet's computer keeps it in memory, not in a folder.
GotPrinter doesn't save your document to the outlet's disk. Two exceptions we know of: Windows' own print system keeps a temporary copy while a page is printing, as it does for anything printed, and if a PDF is too unusual for our main renderer, the backup converter works from a temporary file.
Your phone holds a copy until it has printed.
If the outlet's computer restarts mid-job, your phone sends the file again rather than asking you to start over. The copy is cleared from your browser once the job is done.
We keep a fingerprint, not the document.
It lets the outlet confirm that a resent file is the same one you sent. It can't be turned back into your file.

Have a printer?

Try it free for 30 days on 1 computer and 2 printers. Then choose a plan. Install the GotPrinter app on the computer your printer is plugged into, pick an outlet code and put the poster on your counter. You set your own per-page prices, and jobs arrive in a queue you can see.

How it works for outlets

Advertise on paper

Put an A4 page in the hands of people collecting prints in the outlets you choose. You pay ₹0.50 for each page that actually printed.
