Pricing

What customers, outlets, colleges and advertisers pay.

Customers

Pay the outlet’s own per-page price, shown before they send. A new outlet starts with these rates until it changes them:

Starting rates: one-sided per page, two-sided per sheet
Black and white, one-sided₹2
Black and white, two-sided, per sheet₹2
Colour, one-sided₹10
Colour, two-sided, per sheet₹10

How printer limits work

Plans include a number of printers, and the count is the most printers switched on for GotPrinter orders at the same time in a month. One plan covers all of an owner’s outlets. A switched-off printer costs nothing. Extra printers above the plan are ₹299/month (+18% GST) for shops or ₹899/month (+18% GST) for Campus Basic and Premium.

Shops

A job is one document that printed for a customer. Free reprints after a failure, refunded jobs, ad sheets and printer tests don’t count. Enterprise covers up to 10 computers; more than that is a custom quote.

Pay per page

Small and new shops. No fixed cost, no commitment.

₹0.20 / page

+18% GST

  • 1 computer, 2 printers
  • No job cap
  • Taken from payouts, else UPI AutoPay
  • First GotPrinter box ₹400 a month for 3 months
Why: 7 of 9 surveyed shops asked to pay per use. A typical shop (~3,900 pages a month) would pay about ₹780 if every page came through us, roughly 4% of a ₹5 page. Per page, not a % of the order, so high-price shops are not punished and bulk shops are not charged ₹18,000 a month.

Basic

A busy single counter.

₹999 / month

+18% GST

  • 1 computer, 2 printers
  • Call support
  • First GotPrinter box ₹400 a month
1,500 jobs a month
then ₹0.75 a job (+18% GST)
Why: In line with software shops already pay (TallyPrime Silver ₹750, Zoho Books ₹749–899). Cheaper than pay per page above ~5,000 pages a month. 1,500 jobs ≈ 7,500 pages, about twice a typical shop's month.

Premium

Shops with several counters and staff.

₹2,499 / month

+18% GST

  • Up to 3 computers, 6 printers
  • Staff accounts, reports Not built
  • Call support
  • First GotPrinter box ₹400 a month
5,000 jobs a month
then ₹0.6 a job (+18% GST)
Why: A Basic shop doing 5,000 jobs would pay ₹3,624, so Premium is the natural next step. Its extra value is people, not pages: several counters and staff working under one owner.

Enterprise

Bulk shops and chains.

₹5,999 / month

+18% GST

  • Up to 10 computers, 20 printers, branches
  • Priority and on-site support
  • First GotPrinter box ₹400 a month
15,000 jobs a month
then ₹0.5 a job (+18% GST)
Why: A bulk shop prints ~60,000 pages a month; pay per page would cost it ~₹12,000. 15,000 jobs ≈ 75,000 pages covers it with room to grow.

Colleges

No job cap on any college plan, and college plans are ad-free by default. Every college plan comes with a contract, a GST invoice and support. Billed yearly.

College pay per page

Colleges that want to try before committing.

₹0.40 / page

Min ₹1,000/mo +18% GST

  • No printer limit, no job cap
  • Student list by CSV upload Not built
  • College notices
  • Email support
Why: Twice the shop rate because there is no cap and no ad income. The minimum covers the account and support. Campus Basic becomes cheaper above ~8,750 pages a month.

Campus Basic

Up to 2,000 students, 4 printers, 1 campus.

₹3,500 / month

Billed yearly +18% GST

  • No job cap, ad-free
  • ERP link by file: student list in, usage report out Not built
  • College Google / Microsoft login Not built
  • Print credits, one amount per student Future · needs the app
  • Email support, 2 working days
  • First GotPrinter box ₹400 a month
Why: PaperCut NG, the common campus print software, lists $570 (≈ ₹55,000) a year for 500 users. With GST this stays under the ₹50,000 limit a government college can buy without quotations. ₹21 per student a year, ₹875 per printer a month (PaperCut at the University of Utah: $11 ≈ ₹1,066). Every ERP can export and import Excel, so a file link works with any ERP and costs us almost nothing to run.

Campus Premium

Up to 10,000 students, 15 printers, 1 campus.

₹12,000 / month

Billed yearly +18% GST

  • Daily automatic sync with 1 ERP Not built
  • Single sign-on Not built
  • Print credits by department and batch Future · needs the app
  • Set-up by us (up to 10 hours), phone support, 1 working day
  • 1 GotPrinter box included
Why: Less per printer than Basic (₹800 a month against ₹875) because the college buys more. ₹14.40 per student a year, against ₹120–240 for a college ERP and PaperCut's $1,385 (≈ ₹1.34 lakh) for 3,000 users. Inside the GeM band a college buys from directly. Twelve manual uploads a year are fine at 2,000 students and a chore at 8,000: the automatic sync is what Premium sells.

Campus Enterprise

More than 10,000 students, more than 25 printers, or more than 1 campus.

Custom quote

  • Two-way link with the ERP, library and learning system; print charges posted to the student's fee account Not built
  • Named engineer, service-level agreement
  • 1 GotPrinter box included; more at the rental rate or folded into the quote
Why: Above Premium, the cost is set by the work, not by size. How many campuses to visit, how many systems to connect and whether their vendors charge for API access, and what fix time the college needs differ for every university. A single list price would overcharge a small group of colleges or lose money on a large university. A quote also suits how large institutions buy: above the direct-purchase limit, they compare written offers anyway.

Questions

Who sets the price a customer pays?
The outlet. Each outlet sets its own four rates in the partner portal (one-sided per page, two-sided per sheet, both sides of one paper), and the customer sees the total before sending anything.
Does GotPrinter take a cut of each print?
Not at the moment. What customers pay for their prints is counted as the outlet’s earnings in full.
How do customers pay?
Online, with UPI or card from their phone, before a job prints. Online payment is in test mode while we finish rolling it out.
How do printer counts work on plans?
Plans include a number of printers, and the count is the most printers switched on for GotPrinter orders at the same time in a month. One plan covers all of an owner’s outlets. A switched-off printer costs nothing. Extra printers above the plan are ₹299/month (+18% GST) for shops or ₹899/month (+18% GST) for Campus Basic and Premium.
What happens after my 30-day trial?
Choose a plan from the partner portal to keep printing. If you don’t, your printer pauses — nothing is deleted, and picking a plan later continues printing without reinstalling anything. You’re never charged automatically; we arrange payment with you when you choose a plan.
