Take print jobs straight from customers’ phones
No more files arriving on WhatsApp, by email or on a USB stick. Customers scan your poster, choose their pages and send. The job arrives in a queue on your computer, already priced at your rates.
Setting up
-
Create your partner account
Sign up at partner.gotprinter.com with your phone number or email. You sign in with a one-time code each time; there is no password.
Open the partner portal -
Install the app on the computer with the printer
Any Windows PC your printer is connected to, by USB or over the network. It finds the printers Windows already knows about.
Download for Windows -
Sign in and choose your outlet code
Use the same phone number or email. Pick a short code people can type, like cityprint. It becomes your page: print.gotprinter.com/cityprint.
-
Print your poster
The app prints an A4 poster with your QR code and outlet code. Put it where customers queue.
-
Set your prices
In the partner portal, set what you charge per page for black and white and for colour, one-sided and two-sided. Customers see your price before they send.
Once you’re running
- A queue you can see
- Every job shows its pickup token, its settings and how far along it is.
- More than one printer
- Customers choose between the printers on the computer, so colour and black-and-white can be separate machines.
- Two-sided on any printer
- If a printer can’t print both sides by itself, the app walks you through turning the stack over.
- Paper jams and restarts
- Jobs don’t silently disappear. After a jam or a restart, the app shows what still needs printing.
- Updates install themselves
- New versions are checked for a valid signature and installed in the background.
- Ad pages, if you want them
- Sponsored pages are off until you turn them on. If you do, an advertiser’s page can print with your jobs, and part of what they pay is yours.
What you need
- A 64-bit Windows PC, Windows 7 SP1 or later, that stays on while the app is running
- Administrator access on that PC, once, to install
- A printer that already prints from that PC
- An internet connection
A Mac version isn’t available yet.
What it costs
Try it free for 30 days on 1 computer and 2 printers, starting once we approve your account. You keep what customers pay for their prints. After the trial, choose a plan or your printer pauses — nothing is deleted. See pricing.
